Community members are invited to bring their broken bikes and/or clothing and learn how to repair them themselves through hands-on demos, skill share, and trainings. Although we can’t guarantee that all items will be repaired on the spot, participants are sure to leave with new knowledge and skills that they can apply to their lives. In addition to bike and clothing repair, folks can expect to learn about best home weatherization practices; how to remove carpet; how to lay tile; painting do’s and dont’s; how to unclog a toilet, sink or tub; how to stop a leaking toilet and pipe; and more.
The event is free to attend, appropriate for all ages (there will be free kids activities), and hosted in an accessible space. In an effort to be more green, we encourage attendees to get there via public transportation.
