Visible Mending: Hand Sewing Applique patches
Come learn how to sew a patch!
This workshop will teach you ways to create creative patches using fabric and hand-sewing techniques. We'll cover how to use fabric applique techniques for mending clothes or just adding some personalization to your clothes.
A basic level of familiarity with hand sewing (able to do a straight stitch) is recommended but not required.
Materials: You're welcome but not required to bring clothing you want to patch, I'd recommend bringing something you're okay experimenting on that isn't difficult to sew (difficult materials would be things like thick denim).
Fabric and sewing supplies will also be available for practicing (and you can use the skills learned to add the practice patches to clothes at home).
