Ceramics.... they break! And with a little love and skill, they can become whole again OR something new entirely. If you keep all your broken sentimental dishes in a dusty drawer dreaming about the day you will somehow see them in one piece again or see a broken plate and think "I'll do something with this one day!"- this workshop is for you!

We will provide detailed instruction, demonstration, and work time for two related reuse skills:

How to repair broken ceramics (with all their pieces) using 2-part epoxy & filling putty. This method is accessible and easy to learn, but please note that epoxied items should not be used for food or exposed to heat over 150°F. Repaired items can be repurposed as planters, or used in other ornamental ways!

How to upcycle broken ceramics (a little further gone, or ready for a new form) into mosaics. Every participant will receive mosaic instruction & a brief demo, and will have the option of staying for the last hour of the workshop to complete their own small mosaic project.

WHEN: December 15th from 12- 3/4pm

WHERE: 624 NW Couch St Portland, OR 97209

WHO: Instructed by artist & repair aficionado Tess Myers

Hosted by Frog & Toad's Reuse Manager, Revel.

Participation will be capped to 15 participants. Workshop is located down a flight of stairs. Masks required!
