On Saturday, April 22, the City of Portland’s Safe Blocks Program and the Portland Police Bureau are partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration to host the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
According to officials, Take Back Day offers free and anonymous disposal of unneeded medications at more than 4,000 local drop-off locations nationwide. They will be collecting tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs and over-the-counter medicines.
