Portland Fruit Tree Project has partnered with Kitchen Commons to celebrate our shared love of persimmons. These finicky, delicious, wondrous fruits are in season and we want to make sure you know how to use ‘em.
Ever heard of “hoshigaki”? This traditional Japanese snack is made in the winter by air-drying persimmons. We’ll be joined by our friend Tomoe who has been practicing this sweet specialty for years. Plus, more recipes, resources, and facts about the lovely orange-red orbs we call persimmons! What a treat!
