You are invited to join Something Borrowed Portland and professional calligrapher Rachel Jacobson to learn the art of modern calligraphy and create a set of beautiful take-home cards, just in time for Mother's Day!

This 3-hour hands-on workshop offers tricks and techniques to create beautiful lettering with a pointed pen. You'll get to take home a curated selection of Rachel's favorite tools in your own calligraphy supply kit, with time for individual instruction, input, and practice.

In this workshop you will learn:

• How to get started writing with an oblique pen, nib, and ink
• Creating uppercase and lowercase letters and numbers with the pointed pen
• Connecting letters and creating words
• The art of composing words and phrases for a beautiful finished piece

All supplies, snacks, and drinks will be provided.
